What I Learned from Teaching Abroad: My SEA Teacher Experience

  Outcomes of Practicum This program allowed me to achieve several milestones: Enhanced teaching skills:  I learned to use various interactive teaching strategies, including visual aids and educational games. Adaptation to a foreign education system:  I gained a better understanding of how the Philippine curriculum is implemented and how its teaching approaches differ from those in Indonesia. Purposes of Practicum The SEA Teacher Program aims to provide cross-border teaching experiences for education students across Southeast Asia. Through this program, participants gain a deeper understanding of different educational systems, develop pedagogical skills, and improve their communication and adaptability. The benefits I gained from this program include: A deeper understanding of the Philippine education system, particularly at Tapaz Central Elementary School. First-hand experience teaching in an international environment, broadening my perspective on education. Improved English language skills. Exposure to more innovative and interactive teaching methods.
